(NRSC News) – Back on Nov. 18, as Attorney General Merrick Garland — a man who seemingly has it out for former President Donald Trump — announced that he had officially named a special prosecutor to look into Trump’s handling of classified documents that were discovered at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, he was keeping a secret about President Joe Biden. What was that secret?
As it turns out, Biden had a similar issue.
Pretty obvious why he was attempting to keep that one under wraps, right? It would look awfully strange to see the Justice Department hounding Trump over possessing classified documents at his personal residence while Biden was guilty of the same thing. That would be a narrative destroyer and it would be of such significance it would be very, very difficult for the propagandists in the leftist media to twist the story or bury it.
“Just two weeks earlier, Biden’s lawyers disclosed to government lawyers on Nov. 2 — just six days before the midterm elections — that they had found sensitive government documents with classified markings inside an office that Biden used at the Penn Biden Center think tank in Washington after he left office as Barack Obama’s vice president,” John Solomon of Just the News reported.
He continued, “The public was kept in the dark about the startling discovery until Monday, when the White House confirmed it was cooperating with an investigation launched by the Justice Department at the request of the same National Archives that has tussled with Trump over the last year.”
The late disclosure has flipped the tables on the president, who came down hard on his predecessor for the whole situation with the documents at his Florida estate, while also raising a few questions that need to be answered by a U.S. Attorney in Illinois and Congress.
Here are those questions:
– Are there any other documents missing from Biden’s government document collection from his time as vice president?
– Are there any other locations — insecure or secure — where Biden might have kept sensitive government secrets?
– Did the government delay notifying the public for political or other purposes, such as sparing Biden from criticism or to keep voters in the dark before Election Day?
– Did any foreign powers have access to the office space where the documents were found?
The last question on the list has taken on a new significance as of Monday evening due to the fact that it’s been known for years that the University of Pennsylvania has received extensive funding from China, with some reports in the media claiming the number is around $54 million, right around the time Biden announced a policy think tank was now going to be part of the university’s Washington program.
Republicans who have been taking Biden’s Justice Department to task over the seizure of records at Trump’s estate immediately jumped on this new revelation and have promised to start a vigorous investigation. And that’s exactly what should be done. The conservative movement needs to stop being nice and start playing by the rules the left have established. We need to defeat them according to the game they are playing.
“Under the Biden Administration, the Department of Justice and National Archives have made compliance with the Presidential Records Act a top priority,” Rep. James Comer, a Kentucky Republican and the new chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, said in an interview with Just the News. “We expect the same treatment for President Biden, who has apparently inappropriately maintained classified documents in an insecure setting for several years.”
Solomon then wrote, “Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas), a former White House physician, went even further to suggest Biden was a hypocrite, his administration guilty of a double standard and the whole episode possibly a national security risk.”
“Biden knew for YEARS that he’s been storing HIGHLY CLASSIFIED documents in his personal office,” Jackson posted in a recently published tweet. “He KNEW it when FBI agents were raiding Mar-a-Lago, and he KNEW it when he appointed a partisan special counsel. HE KNEW THE WHOLE TIME BUT STILL HAD HIS DOJ GOONS PERSECUTE TRUMP!!”

Congressman Andy Biggs, a Republican from Arizona, mentioned that the connection of the Chinese money to the university added a troubling aspect to the situation.
“This think tank received $54 million in funding from the CCP,” Biggs asserted in a post on the Truth Social platform. “The Biden family highly concerns me.”
Former President Donald Trump was also thrilled to see the tables turned on his political adversary.
“When is the FBI going to raid the many homes of Joe Biden, perhaps even the White House?” Trump asked in a statement he on Truth Social. “These documents were definitely not declassified.”
“For now, the first line of business — to determine whether crimes were committed or other documents are missing — will fall to U.S. Attorney John Lausch, a Trump holdover in Illinois who has been asked by Garland to lead a review of the Biden documents,” Solomon revealed.
A senior government official who is directly familiar with the discovery of these documents spoke with Just the News and stated that the National Archives asked the DOJ to open up an investigation back in November after a small number of classified documents, some of which were marked as being top secret, were found stashed in the Penn Biden Center in Washington, where the current commander-in-chief conducted business after he left the Obama administration.
The White House put out a statement on Monday evening that confirmed the discovery, and the pending investigation, stating that the president’s legal team self-disclosed the existence of the documentation when the office previously used by him was being vacated for another party.
“The White House is cooperating with the National Archives and the Department of Justice regarding the discovery of what appear to be Obama-Biden Administration records, including a small number of documents with classified markings,” White House special counsel Richard Sauber remarked in a statement after the discovery was reported by both CBS and CNN. “The documents were discovered when the President’s personal attorneys were packing files housed in a locked closet to prepare to vacate office space at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C.”
Sauber expressed that Biden “used this space from mid-2017 until the start of the 2020 campaign.”
“On the day of this discovery, November 2, 2022, the White House Counsel’s Office notified the National Archives. The Archives took possession of the materials the following morning,” he continued.
“The documents were not the subject of any previous request or inquiry by the Archives. Since that discovery, the President’s personal attorneys have cooperated with the Archives and the Department of Justice in a process to ensure that any Obama-Biden Administration records are appropriately in the possession of the Archives,” he then declared.
President of conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch went on to tell Just the News that this disclosure will have both a political and legal boomerang.
“The Biden operation hid from the American people the discovery of classified records in VP Biden’s office just before November elections,” he noted. “Will there now be a raid of Biden’s home?
“This development highlights the absurdity and lawlessness of the raid on Trump’s home, as Biden is implicated in the very same conduct and yet is being protected by the agencies hounding Trump,” Fitton commented.
After the FBI found the documents at Mar-a-Lago, Biden said that it was “totally irresponsible” for Trump to have held on to them.
“How that could possibly happen? How anyone could be that irresponsible?” the president asked just a few months back. “And I thought what data was in there that may compromise sources and methods?”
Many Republicans in the House took an opportunity to pounce on Biden over the new revelations and his previous comments.
“President Biden has stated that taking classified documents from the White House is ‘irresponsible,'” Comer observed.
Powerhouse Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia told Fox News host Tucker Carlson that “Merrick Garland and the Department of Justice, they have to be held accountable if they don’t treat Joe Biden exactly the same way they’re treating President Trump.”

There’s no comparison between Trump and Biden retaining classified documents the extremist right wants to believe. Trump secreted his documents at his own residence in Mar-a-lago, FL, while Biden’s were at a think tank location. Trump refused to release his documents to National Archives when asked repeatedly, subpoenaed for them and searched under warrant. Biden immediately turned over all his docs. And Trump tried to hide the facts behind his retention of ‘eyes only’ top secret papers, called obstruction of justice, while Biden’s lawyers immediately returned all papers discovered. Let’s keep the record straight: Trump is being prosecuted for his crimes; Biden’s developing story is still unfolding. Very different by two different men, and presidents.
