(NRSC News) – The US Senate election going on right now in Georgia is not likely to be fair or free. The scales in Georgia have been tipped in favor of Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock and it seems unlikely that anything Republican voters do is going to change that.
Despite this, American icon Chuck Norris has laid out 7 reasons why he believes Republican Herschel Walker “deserves” to win.
The runoff election being held in Georgia on Tuesday, Dec. 6, is the result of neither candidate managing to get at least 50% of the vote during the Nov. 8 midterm elections. Early voting is already underway, however, ensuring that Democrats will have plenty of time to institute their dirty tricks and chicanery.
Norris shared his 7 reasons in an Op-Ed for WND and urged Americans to “rally immediately behind” Walker.
The first of his reasons is Walker’s upbringing. Norris asserts that his upbringing shows “he truly understands and empathizes with the struggles of average Americans.” According to FamousPeople.com Walker was born into a “financially backward family. He was one of seven children of his parents.”
The outlet further explained that Walker was “obese” throughout the first 11 years of his life and was “physically very inactive.” He struggled with some health issues early in life which led to him being bullied at school.
“However, by the time he was in the seventh grade, Herschel had decided to turn his life around. He began sprinting hard, controlled his diet and lost a lot of weight in just one year. In addition, he also practiced speaking in front of the mirror for hours to overcome stuttering. He gave most of the credit for his newfound motivation to his mother and said that she was the one who inspired him to love himself and be physically fit.”
As you know, Walker went on to become a professional football player.
Norris says that his “‘American dream’ sports success story” is a “huge inspiration and asset that Americans and the US Senate need right now.”
The website of Famous African Americans explained, “In high school, Walker developed an interest in sports and played football, basketball and competed in track. [H]e played for the Johnson County Trojans High School Football team from 1976 to 1979. He helped the Trojans to win their first state championship. In 1979, he was awarded the first Dial Award.
“Walker attended University of Georgia where he was a three time All-American and winner of the Heisman Trophy and Maxwell Award. He set an NCAA freshman rushing record and helped win the national collegiate football title. He set 10 NCAA records, 15 Southeast Conference records, [and] 30 Georgia all-time records.”
Walker played as a running back in the NFL and broke several records over the course of the 12 seasons he played. In 1999, he was inducted in the College Football Hall of Fame and was selected as one of the best college football players of all time by Fox Sports, Sports Illustrated and ESPN.
The fifth reason Norris laid out was that Walker secured Trump’s endorsement “for whom he also served on the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition, from 2018 to 2020.”
“Walker’s stellar sports career and health advocacy is proof that he’s a born fighter still in his prime and whose middle name should be Perseverance,” Norris wrote.
The 4th reason, according to Norris, is that “we need more U.S. senators who have experienced business and financial success, especially in our downturned economy with runaway inflation. Herschel is a first-class business sensation and manager. He is the owner of several companies under the name ‘Renaissance Man International.’”
As Yahoo News explained, “Beginning in 1984, he dabbled in the fast food industry, and he launched Renaissance Man Food Services in 1999. He added more businesses to his portfolio under H. Walker Enterprises, which was founded in 2002.”
The entire nation would benefit from having more business-minded men and women sitting in Congress who are focused on reaching goals for America’s success rather than their own enrichment.
Number 3, writes Norris, is his financial success which the mainstream media has tried to spin as a “detriment.” Norris says, “He wants to utilize who he is, what he has and what he’s accomplished to help America and Americans while serving as a U.S. senator.”
The second reason is that “Walker is a benevolent philanthropist as well as veteran and mental health advocate.”
In 2001, Walker was diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder which he later wrote about in his 2008 book “Breaking Free: My Life with Dissociative Identity Disorder.” As a result, his charitable work often involves mental illness advocacy, like with his help for veterans in the Patriot Support Program. Mental illness in the US is something that needs to be more openly and directly discussed by lawmakers and Walker just might be the man to make that happen.
The final reason Chuck Norris believes Walker is the man for the job is that he is a man of faith “who has lived most of his life as a committed Christian.”
Norris wrote, “No man is perfect, including me. George Washington was absolutely right when he said, ‘Perfection falls not to the lot of humanity.’ But imperfections haven’t stopped Walker or me from trying to be the best Christian examples we can be, including showing that we need forgiveness like anyone else.”
“Herschel’s story is one of redemption and hope,” stated Ralph Reed, a Georgia resident and chair of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, as Christianity Today reported.
Walker represents “the power of grace, redemption and the opportunity America still provides,” echoed Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council in his endorsement of Herschel.
“Herschel Walker is a man who, when he gave his life to Jesus Christ … became a sinner saved by grace,” argued the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody on his podcast. “He admits he was never a Boy Scout. But when you truly give your life to Jesus Christ, he forgives you of your past. It’s washed away, covered under the blood, as they say, despite members of the liberal media who clearly can’t grasp that concept.”
Walker is the perfect man for the job. The US is in shambles right now and we need more men of character and integrity headed to Washington to serve the interests of the American people.

What a bunch of bullshit! What happened to separation of church and state – we need to bring that back! And if he’s such a great guy, why did he cause and help poor women to get abortions? He’s unworthy of representing our state of Georgia, let alone our political system! Vote democratic this time!
